We meet monthly on the second Saturday of each month from 10am-2pm at Our Lady of Fatima in Peabody, MA.
Are you seeking to embody the profound spirituality of St. Teresa of Avila and St. John of the Cross through your daily lives? We strive to strengthen spiritual growth to all who are looking for a deeper union with God through daily meditation, spiritual direction, days of recollection, retreats, group formation classes, spiritual talks given by guest speakers, along with enjoying fellowship from our Mary and Joseph Carmelite Community.
"In the interior dynamism of following Jesus, Carmel contemplates Mary as Mother and Sister as 'the perfect model of the disciple of the Lord.'" "She teaches us to listen to God's Word in Scripture and in life, pondering all in her heart until light dawned through contemplative prayer." (constitutions v.29)
"Prayer and Apostolic service are inseparable. The observation of St. Teresa, 'the purpose of prayer is the birth of good works." (iv.26)
We are faithful members of the Roman Catholic Church, called to live in allegiance to Jesus Christ through a friendship with the One we know loves us.

PRAYER TO SAINT TERESA OF JESUS
Saint Teresa of Jesus, holy mother, wholehearted servant of love,
teach us to walk with determined fidelity along the path of interior prayer,
attentive to the presence of the Blessed Trinity, the Lord, dwelling deep in us.
At the school of Mary our Mother, strengthen within us these foundations;
a genuine humility,
a heart free from attachment, and an unconditional love for others.
Share with us your intense apostolic love for the Church.
May Jesus be our joy, our hope and energy, an unquenchable fountain and our most intimate Friend.
Bless our Carmelite family.
Teach us, make your prayer our own;
"I am yours; I was born for you.
What is your will for me?"
Amen
"La Madre"
